Oceans Connected Mallorca and Going Coastal Blue Present

InTo The Blue

This coastal day of learning, reflection and shared wisdom, is rooted in the restorative power of water and has been created as an opportunity for you to discover the World of Integrated Blue Health

Monday 5th October 8.00 to 4.00 pm

Mallorca is an island surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, with around 550 kilometres of coastline and hundreds of beaches and coves within reach. From pine forests, wetlands and mountain landscapes above the waterline - to vibrant Posidonia meadows beneath it. The island is alive with nature.

  • But is the natural landscape - and are those that live and work on the Island, truly thriving?
  • How healthy is our Blue Economy for example and how can we collectively apply greater discernment to our decision making?
  • How often do we pause to consider the power that this natural world holds: not only for the planet, but for our own wellbeing too?

"Blue space gives room to breathe, move, reflect, reconnect and feel better: socially, physically, mentally and emotionally"

On Monday October 5th,  Oceans Connected Mallorca launches, with a special workshop led by Blue Health Coach and author Lizzi Larbalestier, inviting us to "Step Into The Blue" and explore a more integrated relationship with water, nature and wellbeing.

A day of meaningful connection, exploring the questions that matter

The day will unfold, with the sun rising over the horizon of Puerto Pollensa Bay. For anyone who wishes to start on their day on the water, Hannah from The Mallorca Sup Company, will lead a gentle one-hour sunrise paddle, a purposeful "arrival", and a chance to approach the day differently and experience first-hand the restorative power of blue space.

Once we return to the beach, Lizzi will guide a grounding exercise before everyone comes together at La Maina Restaurant, for a traditional Mallorquin breakfast of Pa Amb Oli, fresh fruit, tea and coffee.

From there, the day unfolds through learning, reflection, conversation and shared experience.

Lizzi will explore with us the intersection of applied Blue Health Science and Blue Mind Philosophy,  introducing the 8 channels of water and inviting you to consider how these show up for you. We will enter the World of "healthy decision making", learning how to dial out some of the chaos that so often clouds our choices.

Through a panel discussion we will explore the relationship between sustainability and regeneration, and invite facilitated round table discussion for you to join in.

There will be time to pause, eat well, listen, share and connect with others, who are curious about the power of the natural world around us. We will finish the day as we began - close to the sea, with the option of a final dip in the barmy Mediterranean waters.

Whether you are a business leader, a member of the island community, a curious visitor or someone looking to enhance their life with blue health, come along and join us for the learning and to share your own insights.

Who Is This For?

This workshop is for anyone curious about the connection between water, nature and wellbeing. Whether you already feel drawn to the sea or you are just beginning to explore its impact on your life.

It is for people seeking space to pause, reflect and reconnect, especially if you are navigating change, looking for clarity or simply wanting to feel more grounded.

You may be a business owner, coach, therapist, wellbeing practitioner, creative, educator or community-minded human, interested in bringing Blue Health principles into your work, life or the spaces you help shape.

Or you may simply be someone who feels better by the water and wants to understand why - and how to deepen that connection.

No previous knowledge of Blue Health is needed. Just a willingness to slow down. stay curious and spend time by the sea.

Meet Lizzi Larbalestier

Lizzi Larbalestier is one of the UK’s leading applied Blue Health practitioners: a professional coach, trainer, ocean advocate and founder of Going Coastal Blue.  She is widely considered a thought leader in the field of nature connected coaching.

For more than 15 years, Lizzi has explored the practical relationship between water, nature and human wellbeing. Her coastal coaching work began in 2009, before the language of Blue Mind and Blue Health had entered the mainstream and has since helped bring these ideas out of theory and into lived experience.

Lizzi has long championed the work of marine biologist Dr Wallace J. Nichols, author of Blue Mind, and was recognised alongside her husband Julian with the Blue Mind Award in 2018 for helping bring Blue Mind science and philosophy into action.

Her work brings together coaching, environmental psychology, ocean connection and real-world experience to explore how blue space can support clarity, emotional regulation, decision-making, wellbeing and meaningful change.

Lizzi is the author of The Healing Power of Water: The Essential Guide to Blue Health — an accessible guide to building a deeper, healthier relationship with water.

For this special Oceans Connected Mallorca workshop, Lizzi brings her knowledge, warmth and deeply practical approach to the shoreline — inviting us to look again at the blue space already on our doorstep.
